LET'S GET LOST

Seriously. Every once in a while, it's good to pull your anglo head out of your ass. There's some nice, different sounding, surprises out there, and it only takes a random click to become enveloped in stuff that makes the Hype Machine irrelevant. I really like stuff that doesn't sound like anything else (i.e. The Impossibles), and despite the Key Boys being described as the Korean Yardbirds, I think you'll agree that there's a little something else going on with them (and I don't thing it's necessarily musicianship). Listen to "My Love Is Distance" below. The fuzz, the organ, and the muddy production all add up to make it certified oddball mix meat.

After doing a little online milling about looking for some background info, I ran into a site that looks like it's going to be an absolute time suck sometime soon. It's Radio Diffusion, a site about international rock n' roll and assorted popular music from Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Check out this list, crack your knuckles and go exploring.
