THE BASTARD CHILDREN OF BOBBY BORIS PICKETT

Way back in the day, there was an oddball buried on a compilation called "Darker Skratcher" put out by the Los Angeles Free Music Society. Every song on the album was some sort of oddball, but one stood out because, with the possible exception of Rick Potts's "Platform Swim Fins", it was the only song on the LP with any sort of even slight pop characteristics. 45 Grave's "Riboflavin-Flavored, Non-Carbonated, Polyunsatured Blood" was really catchy, and,  if I remember correctly, their first recorded work. For years I thought that it was an original and it wasn't until the internet appeared that I found out it was a cover. [Insert gripe along the lines of "you kids don't know how good you have it" here] You gotta give them credit, they beat the Cramps to this one.
