What I learned this week: the Mediafire snub workaround. Just in the nick of time too. I almost passed on three fine Halloween mixes because I believed the pages at Mediafire had expired. Low and behold, they hadn't. All I had to do was clear my history and cookies and try it again. So, that's it, your lesson for the day. If you see a green "download" button, or a green "captcha" button, that's where the goods are. If you don't see them, clear your browsing history and cookies. Don't click on any of the decoy buttons, including the cleverly also green arrow button decoy. Those cleverly also green arrow button decoys will get you every time. Really, it sounds scarier than it is. It's not as if you click on the wrong button and it's doomsday. It's just annoying pop-ups. Boring shit, but useful if there's ever a download at Mediafire that you want.
So, on with you. Here's links to three great Halloween mixes. Most of the songs are from the fifties and sixties, and there are some you'll have heard before, but really, 114 songs in all? Roughly four hours is just about what you need for a party. Done. Now you can concentrate on rounding up eyeballs for the punch bowl.
