You want to know why I go digging through old posts of long dormant blogs? Because every once in a while you run into a singer or group you've never heard before, and after hearing a few songs you realize that damn list just got longer. I think I've said that before. Soul Garage hasn't been updated in two years. But there are posts going back nine years and they're chocked full of soul, R & B, funk, and blues. Good stuff. I have not yet run into a dog, and I've dug through it a lot. The writing is all in German, but Google Translate can take care of that.
I'm gonna duck out. I'll let you get to know Eddie Lang. Ran into him on a post from five years ago at Soul Garage. Lang was a New Orleans guitarist who at one time backed Guitar Slim. All the songs I've heard are varying degrees of funky soul, New Orleans style. Eddie Bo produced, and played on, a couple. Gleamed that from Sir Shambling's. There's some good reading there, and four songs (click on the blue song titles). I'm headed back there now. Never ends.
~ NOTE: ALL MEDIA IS HOSTED BY THE BLOGS & SITES NAMED BELOW ~
