Oh jeez. there's a post I hadn't seen at Sir Shambling's Deep Soul Heaven, More Caribbean Soul, and it promises to be a all nighter. It's a follow up to their earlier post 20 Caribbean Deep Soul Masterpieces, posted about four or five years ago. There's about forty slower soul songs between the two of them, some by names you'd ordinarily associate with reggae. Taken as a whole, it's like one of those Numero Group compilations (surveys of obscure labels and regional overviews), particularly with all of the text. So, I'll be over there for awhile. You should check it out.
