Man, the real Gidget was badass, wasn't she? Think about it. All guys surfing? She didn't give a shit. That's her, that tough looking lady in the photo above. Kathy Kohner, the real Gidget. Determined look I'd say, considerably more badass than movie Gidget, Sandra Dee. That calls for some oddball new-ish surf music. Because segues are overrated.
Sort through some of these. There's about a hundred in all, posted on the Internet Archive by Surf Guitar 101. Fair warning: Some are iffy, some suck, but there's a decent percentage of good ones, some really good, by bands you will probably never again get a chance to hear. Hey, there's a fairly noisy Link Wray cover. If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, go ahead, walk around like that. Go ahead, be the movie Gidget.
