Here's an few international guitar instrumentals bordering on surf. It was going to be strictly Mexican bands, but then I ran into the Spotnicks, who were from Sweden. But just look at them. You can't tell me that photo wouldn't hijack your attention. As if the photo and their version of "Ghostriders in the Sky" weren't enough, check the video linked below. Los Indonesios' "Surfin' Gypsy" is the best of the bunch. Though I wouldn't really call it surf, it's more like Duane Eddy meets Jörgen Ingmann. Speaking of whom, Ingmann's "Apache" is covered below by Los Rangers, who might as well be Las Shaggs. It's amazing the record was even released, considering they sound they're struggling to keep it together for, what, three minutes? There's messed up playing twice in the intro alone. Yes. I can dig it.
