Lennie Hibbert was a vibraphonist and frequent member of the Studio One house band, Sound Dimension. He did a few solo LP's on Studio One, Creation being the second, released in 1969. It's one of the best instrumental albums I've heard in the past thousand years, albeit with a preference for reggae, funk and.other ass shaking matters. It's not just straight reggae. There's some really funky stuff going on, close to jazz in some places, but this thing is piece of work. It's a groove goldmine. No kidding. I don't know how to say it otherwise. Don't sleep on this one.
