How do you know when things are inching toward normal? When you've suffered some damage from a storm called Sandy, and you're a hot ass blog in New York City, it's marked by a return to Tassle Twirler Tuesdays. So it's time to catch up on a backlog of these fine oddball instrumentals posted at Rock 'n' Soul Ichiban. If you dig these sort of anthropological knuckle dragging nuggets, a whole lot of them have been posted before (all of the links can be found here). Easy on the greasy kid's stuff, it may be a long night.
If you frequent Rock 'n' Soul Ichiban, you probably know that WFMU, the host of their most awesome blog, took a serious hit from Sandy. If you're so inclined, you can donate to help them pay for the damage incurred here, and as long as you have your plastic out, it might be a good idea to help out Norton Records as well. If you're unfamiliar with Norton, take a stroll through their site and keep in mind that a lot of the music they've reissued would be lost forever if not for their efforts. Sandy flooded their warehouse, so they could use some of your pocket change. Tightwads repent!
