BELYING LOOKS DEPT.

If you need a reminder of how much good punk rock slipped through the cracks back in the late seventies, just go dig through Killed By Death. Every once in a while I'll just poke around through their old posts, and I almost always stumble across a song that ranks right up there with all of the early punk stuff that you and I have heard a thousand times before, you know, the classics. The Cigarettes' "They're Back Again, Here They Come" is one of those. It sounds like a cross between Spiral Scratch era Buzzcocks and ATV. Don't let the intro fool you, after about thirty seconds it kicks in, and it's one of those low budget smash and grab catchy as hell specials. The lyrics ain't half bad either, anti-neo-Nazi stuff. It's posted with two other songs that aren't quite as good, but what the hell, I'm not looking for a greatest hits package.
