THREE HAIRY SLABS

Suppose you happen to be on someone's blog, and you spot a phrase, in bold, that reads "perhaps the most crazed garage record ever put to wax!" Whaddya do? If you're the deliberating type, it probably depends on who it is that stating something so declaratively. Me? I don't care, I'm clicking. Statements like that merit at least a listen. After I listened to the song in question the Banshees' "Project Blue", a definite keeper with requisite snotty sounding singer and an abundance of monotonous fuzz (seriously, sounds like the guy's using two strings for the whole song), I considered it crazed enough to go back and actually read the rest of the text. When they follow that statement with "Especially when we have songs like that by Australia's The Elois and Texas' The Outcasts" you know there's gonna be more clicking. Turns out the other two do indeed rival the nuttiness of the first.

A word about downloading these suckers (or anything on DivShare): While you can stream them at the hosting blog, if you want to download them, you will have to be patient. DivShare, where the files are hosted, is running kind of slow right now. But stick to it, because these songs are worth it. Once you get to DivShare (which will take about thirty seconds to load), click on the download button, wait the required fifteen seconds and when, in the past, it would prompt you to save the file right away, it might take another few seconds to happen. Everybody seems to be having problems with DivShare in recent weeks, but your stick-to-it-ness will be rewarded with three fine, and yes, sufficiently crazed fuzz laced workouts.
