Dead Wax, two days ago, was just a random pick on someone's link list. Uh-huh, here we go again. Skipping around over there is like landing in a bar in some out of the way place, fifty years ago, and hearing nothing but second and third tier regional hits come out of the juke box. There's everything from rhythm and blues, rockabilly, doo-wop, to country and western. You may never see many of them again. Here's just a couple random picks. You really need to bookmark it, because there's no way you're going to take it all in, not in one visit.
There's two down there, one by Bennie Dixon (seen above), and one by Kip Anderson. That's the one you have to listen to. It's rhythm and blues, but by the second verse somehow manages to border on VU monotony. Hold on though, because at 1:29 is the most joyfully fucked up solo you'll hear this week.
